iPhone 1.1.3
I have recently gifted myself an iPhone as new year gift. Guess everyone must have heard what iPhone is, but if you don't know deep about it check out its video at http://www.apple.com/iphone/
Well believe me its an awesome phone & i would recommend everyone in this world to have one. But sadly enough Apple doesn't want that yet ....its only available in few parts of the world currently (US, France, UK etc). But don't worry Apple has plans to launch it soon in Asia & other continents too.
Though its an awesome phone, it still lack many features ( like increase of ear-piece volume, bluetooth headset support for music etc) & has some bugs too ( Safari browser in it has crashed many time, in addition to some other applications ). So for those who faced the same crashes and wants more features, here is some good news.
Apple is going to launch iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 (currently iPhone has Firmware 1.1.2!!) hopefully by next week. Gearlive website has provided a video & list of new features 1.1.3 is gonna have.
Here is the list of new features.
- he ability to send an SMS message to multiple people is now there
- Google Maps application can now pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation ( kind of virtual GPS feature )
- Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
- You can now drag and drop application icons on your home screen
- The home screen supports pagination
- You can now add web bookmarks to your home screen

And if you have unlocked your iPhone by any illegal means ( i mean not through AT&T or Apple), you can expect the 1.1.3 update to brick it.
Internet Radio
Tel Aviv, Israel based MeeMix is kicking-off the New Year by moving their taste-predicting Internet radio service from closed to open Beta. Its a cool concept, you don't need to create your playlist, just specify the mood and genre you want to listen and they will create the playlist for you and then you can stream it as Internet Radio. Well thats a really cool idea. Check it out guys its cool. Well the only part that i think missing is the Bollywood movie/pop songs. Well nevertheless its a Beta still...you never know they might release the final version with Hindi/Bollywood songs too. Enjoy your music...
- Meeps: Comment-based conversations users can have regarding a song, album or artist.
- Station Home: Every MeeMix station now has a dedicated page allowing users to interact in its context and shape its playlist.
- Mee Feeds: This is basically MeeMix’s version of Facebook’s News Feed. The feed indicates songs favorited, stations rated, friends added, etc.
- Mee Journey: Users can see other members’ public log or “journey” of actions in MeeMix.
- Station Gift: Users can now send other members a station as a gift. The station is then the “property” of the recipient who can customize it without affecting the original station.
- Twitter Integration: Users can update their Twitter accounts with songs they’ve listened to, their favorite stations, etc.
