I have recently gifted myself an iPhone as new year gift. Guess everyone must have heard what iPhone is, but if you don't know deep about it check out its video at http://www.apple.com/iphone/
Well believe me its an awesome phone & i would recommend everyone in this world to have one. But sadly enough Apple doesn't want that yet ....its only available in few parts of the world currently (US, France, UK etc). But don't worry Apple has plans to launch it soon in Asia & other continents too.
Though its an awesome phone, it still lack many features ( like increase of ear-piece volume, bluetooth headset support for music etc) & has some bugs too ( Safari browser in it has crashed many time, in addition to some other applications ). So for those who faced the same crashes and wants more features, here is some good news.
Apple is going to launch iPhone Firmware 1.1.3 (currently iPhone has Firmware 1.1.2!!) hopefully by next week. Gearlive website has provided a video & list of new features 1.1.3 is gonna have.
Here is the list of new features.
- he ability to send an SMS message to multiple people is now there
- Google Maps application can now pinpoint your location using cell tower triangulation ( kind of virtual GPS feature )
- Google Maps can now display the Hybrid map view
- You can now drag and drop application icons on your home screen
- The home screen supports pagination
- You can now add web bookmarks to your home screen

And if you have unlocked your iPhone by any illegal means ( i mean not through AT&T or Apple), you can expect the 1.1.3 update to brick it.
